510 battery connectors

I found a place in china that would make 510-510 adapter with nut on the bottom(stainless steel)

I would consider doing this as a coop if people wanted it. No this isn't a coop interest post just throwing it out there.

They don't normally run stainless steel ones like this. Usually plated chrome or nickel over brass but would do stainless. I asked if they could and the response was they could do a run of 200 for 3.00 each. I have a PI from them but there is no way I could use 200.

I hope the center piece is not going to be stainless your also going to have to have the case grounded. It would be easier to get a date with Angelina Jolie then get solder to stick to stainless steel. I guess maybe if you used a silver bearing solder and a torch you might get it to stick but i would be afraid of the silicone gasket melting.

So a stainless outside and brass center pin with brass nut would get the job done.

I am asking them now about making the center insulator out of a nylon bushing. Hopefully if this works out it would be a good solid connector that doesn't short out or wear out.

Ok just got done talking to the person in china. They say they usually do silicon insulators but they would be happy to do nylon bushings in there. The only catch is they want a run of 500 @ 3.00 each to make this order.

Stainless steel outside with brass center pin sealed (nickel plated) that has nylon bushing with brass nut (nickel plated).
