RDA 6 coils

Hey everyone!

First thread here.
So, I ordered an rda with nine holes total on two pillars.
Much cheaper than the 'So Horney' RDA

Will be running on a regulated Wismec 2/3 box mod.

I currently have 24 AWG Kanthal, and was doing a bit of thread searching to find some good info on coils...
to make a 6 coil setup to run at about .33 OHMs total I'd need 6 2OHM coils

I don't think this would be doable with 24awg.
Would the collective experienced people here recommend 30 or 32 awg for this?
with 32 I could get around 6 wraps for a 2OHM coil, which isn't too bad and wouldnt take too long to heat up as opposed to 8+ wraps.

Doable with 30AWG, not with 24AWG

It's not worth it IMO. Stick to the larger builds you know and love.

In that case, go with 29 ga kanthal with a 2.5-3mm dia. I would expect an 8-10 wrap setup to give you the type of vape you would enjoy.

I'd start with 28g kanthal A1, 3mm x 9 wrap = 2 ohms (reference: Wire wizard). 29g and up gets flimsy especially when you go bigger than 2mm diameter

lol my bad!!!

ended up going with 24awg 316L
4 coils
bounces between .19-.21 on my Wismec RX2/3
suuuper warm at 100W after 3-4 tugs!
