firstly you need to cut your dead 901 .use a pipecutter does a great job, you should cut about 15mm from the bottom

pull out the inner part of the atty, leave it in while you cut,it will prevent the atty sleeve from bending.
you might need to wipe the inside down. i spray some brakedust spray then wipe it down

just push your male 801 connector into the sleeve
it goes in pretty easily, but once in it stays in :)

get a brass nail 22mmX1.6mm
1.7mm is better but i couldn't find the nails
so i coated the nail with leadless solder to get it to the right width
then cut the nail to the length of the closed adapter
i cut the nail so it waas practicly flat with the middle part of the connector on both sides

solder both end to block and make the nail connect perfectly

all you need to do now if file down the excess solder and make incisions to let airflow in the 801 connector
i use a router, makes thing really easy
there your done!

Away..
I love home brew and this is a good one.
Things may not be available one day for $2.99 or more.
Learn to make your own and you'll never be without!
Besides, there's a feeling of satisfaction in it.

A person could use a piece of brass tubing and have the air feed as normal.
Just drill out any solder that might plug the ends!
