Hello,

I have some 48mg Nicotine solution (95.2% VG, 4.8% Nicotine). I also have some flavors 30mL 0mg.

I'm trying to figure out how much of the solution I need to add to the 30mL bottle to make it 18mg but not entirely sure because the calculators aren't exactly setup for this sort of mixing. It's very ad hoc I know, but I like the flavors and vendors I buy from but over time everyone is slowly dropping 18mg and 12mg (???) and none of my suppliers are carrying 18mg anymore. I've vaped 18mg for 4 years that's what I like and that's what I prefer.

Best I can tell I need to add roughly 11.3mL of the 48mg nicotine solution with the 30mL bottle to get 41.3mL of 18mg liquid.

Is this correct? Can anybody confirm this for me so I know my math is right before I start irreversibly mixing the two together?

Thanks!

Hi mate,

I use EJMU>Tools>Nic combine
48.JPG

18ml of the 4.8% base added to the retail 30ml @ 0mg/ml, will give you 48ml of 1.8% juice.

Cheers

I'll second (or third) the 18 ml. The calculation is this:

(initial volume)*(target concentration) / (nicotine concentration - target concentration)
= (30 ml * 18 mg/ml) / (48 mg/ml - 18 mg/ml)
= 540 mg / 30 mg/ml
= 18 ml

Your 11.3 (actually 11.25) is the amount of 48 mg/ml nicotine you'd include in a recipe that made 30 ml - it doesn't take into account the fact that you'll have more than 30 ml after you add the nicotine.
