It uses a capillary effect to feed the heating coil. Very nice idea man. I didnt think that e-juice would climb high enough for a coil to wrap around it. I am going to have to play with this.

I think they need to have a BUILDERS section. Not every new design is a mod if you made it w/o using existing pv parts. I think it would help evolve pv's as well since people would be building units from scratch.

this is smaller diam. but good ohms/m

Well dang, all I am finding is 36 gauge =.127mm,,106.3 ohm/m or 32 gauge = .2mm,, 45.86 ohm/m.
If I have my math correct that is. The U.S. suppliers give ohm/ft. So to convert to ohm/m.

The microprosessor solution is for free but "no commercial use". Its a attiny25 which controls:
accus voltage, steam, fingersensors, max. steam time, and temperature.

Its a bascom programm with own PWM routine.

It's easy to register there, and search for BASCOM. There are also other circuit diagrams and usefull programs and a lot of information how to build the board and the steamer.

Raidy - on the German forum I saw a post about using your lips on the mouthpiece to create a circuit and so activate the atty. Is that correct? Was that experiment successful? It sounds like a great idea.

I've found a possible local supplier of kanthal too; grade D, 0,2mm and only 43 Ohm/m. Max temp is 1300C. Might it be the wrong grade with the lower Ohm rating? They claim it's from the Kanthal company, but maybe it is really nichrome?
