Lol, you are not alone. I know many who swear by the single coil rigs. I'm a dual-coil Fogger man, dyed in the wool, but I have a kayfun V4 clone and and authentic Lemo 2 currently in the rotation and I get along just fine with them. Now the Fogger V6 is available I may switch back. Mine just appeared by vape mail, I haven't even had time to build it yet. I like top fill and I am a dual coil man. But the kayfun is great and the Lemo is *awesome*.

Tell us about that one, please; one of the main reasons I can't so far get too excited about saving up for a Reo is because I know absolutely nothing about bottom-fed attys, and also I like a regulated vape, not straight off the battery -- I've asked if it's possible to use a Kick in a Reo, and gotten confused and confusing answers. I know the destructions for Kicks say that it has to touch a metal (conductive) tube, which Reos don't seem to have. Some of that may stray from the "single-coil atty" topic, but to me it's kinda of a piece, of why I can't get excited enough about a Reo to start saving up for one -- because I'd have to save for QUITE some time, to afford one.

I like my Reos. I use mostly RM2 RBA's for the simplicity. Very easy to build, provides whatever type of Vape you want. I personally build my RM2's at about 1.4 ohms for a cool yet full flavored vape.
As far a voltage drop - all of the mods pictured above have a 6ml onboard bottle. Once the bottle is about half full, I swap out the battery and notice little or no difference. If I were to try to vape all 6ml on one 18650 battery, then yes I would notice a difference.

Not a bad solution at all, but I still need to know if it's possible to use a Kick with this type of mod, because I really don't like vaping unregulated; too much when a battery is fresh, but constantly decreasing -- I'd hate that.

The only unregulated device I've used was the eRoll, when I first started -- and one of the very first things I noticed about it, when I didn't really know ANYTHING about vaping, was how that first hit was great... and got increasingly less satisfying with each successive hit. I have 2 mechs, but I use a Kick in both of them, for exactly this reason -- I want to vape at 9 or 10 watts, regardless of the state of the battery's charge.

Andria, I used to feel the same way...UNTIL I tried a Reo. I find I usually change the battery out by 3.9 volts, sometimes 3.8 volts. I am using single coils on the Reo and Woodvil. I like to vape at 1.0-1.3...1.1-1.2 is even better. I don't need to change my batteries when I do, but after you vape the mechs so much, you can TELL when it needs to be changed.

Yeah, I can kinda get that; I recall asking around here how to know when the coil needed to be changed/rewicked/whatever... now of course I can tell by the taste. :)

I dunno, maybe going to the vv3 right after the eRoll just spoiled me too much. Though I do sometimes use my mechs, just to make sure that they work and I know how to use and deal with them -- they're my vapocalypse prep! -- I find the lack of electronic data kinda... lacking. It'll do something I'm not too sure about, and the only thing I can do is take the battery out and try another, see if it does the same thing -- instead of checking the ohms and the battery level and the power setting with a nifty screen and a few buttons. I'm really not an "analog kid." (even if it is a great tune!) :D

I've been following that thread about a squonker powered by an iStick30... it makes a huge box, but it could be very useful.

I used to prefer single coil for ease of build, but once I got a dual coil rta with good air flow it was over for me. I do find that in a dripper that allows you to shut the airflow off to one side, running single coil provides phenomenal flavor. The Troll is known as a cloud chucker, but a single .5 ohm build at 40w or so produces monstrous flavor compared to running it at 70w with a dual build, and still fogs the room more than adequately.

Both were blown on a dual coil 24g build in my dark horse. Tried a couple single coil builds with 22g that couldn't reproduce these clouds. But flavor was a little better...bottom line I prefer dual coil builds vs single coil myself...I love clouds! Lol

I have an addictive, compulsive behavior. But for me, the Reos was perfect.
I am a career Trucker. Dripping while trying to steer 78,000+ lbs. at 75mph on an Interstate
highway is not an option. The bottom feed quality of the Reos, along with the fact that the metal Reos are near indestructible, makes it the perfect mod for me. The RM2 is the perfect RBA for the Reos, for those of us who like to vape 10- 12 Watts.
Just my :2c:

I was blowing clouds like that before you were born. Those 'Big Bamboo' rolling papers out of the old Cheech and Chong album would fog up the entire house.
Only we weren't vaping VG back then.....

And if you prefer clouds then a dual coil is better. I personally couldn't care less about clouds. But aint it nice we have a choice!
Well yeah, when I'm in the mood I love to fog up my room with huge, thick, wonderful clouds of sweet smelling vapor..but also I enjoy the freedom of using a subtank without the sometimes messy dripping part..
These are dual vertical prebuilt coils (subtanks)
that vape OK for flavor and are convenient enough that I take down to the casino when I try to win a little money, blowing clouds/flavor like this one on the Arctic

A lot of folks have asked me about vaping at the casino...it smells like a big dirty ashtray where smoking/vaping is allowed... Folks appreciate the sweet smelling vapor vs the nasty cigarette smoke and told me so many times...
But yes, this is America and we do have a choice! [emoji631] Lol

Smoking is NOT dead. The Tobacco Industry lobbies hard to criminalize many aspects of the Vaping movement. There is a section of the ECF dedicated solely to the litigation and legislation we are confronted with in nearly thirty states.
And Vaping does not have a guaranteed future. I can honestly admit that I feel better, breathe better, sleep better and have more energy vaping than I did the last several years of smoking, but that would be 'anecdotal'. Vaping hasn't been around long enough for there to be many real scientific studies. Often the data given is bought and paid for by people who want a specific answer, such as tobacco lobbyists trying to squelch competition, or career politicians looking for revenues.
Vaping is a choice. There are no requirements, no mandates, no doctrines.
I started this thread just to see if there were others who choose to vape single coils. Apparently there are still a few of us who enjoy what some might disdain as "Tootle Puffers". Lower voltages, more flavor and less vapor. Most who have posted here would agree with this style of vaping. Many, including myself, have tried sub-ohming with two coils. I personally found two 0.7 coils producing over 40 Watts wasn't something I cared for. To each their own. I also believe it's a safe bet that most who frequent this thread are really not impressed, at all, with the size of your 'clouds'.
There are plenty of other threads for that.

Too right! If I was exhaling something like that, I'd either have to invest in powerful exhaust fans, or banish myself outdoors like when I smoked! That's just plain annoying! My husband would definitely object to any clouds like that, and even *I* would be quite annoyed by it -- I have enough problems seeing when the air is clear, I sure don't need to go fogging up the place!

I've got 2 Achilles now, and positively LOVE them... I've turned down the power from 10w to 8.5w, sometimes 9w, and with the very low airflow and lower wattage, I'm tootling better than ever! Also decreased my nic from 10mg to 9mg, just because the TH from the Achilles is so intense. The Achilles go thru juice about as slowly as cartos! Tootle puffers' dream come true!

Aww, so original too! Lol
But I'm leaving this forum....too many people here who like to argue and debate things why off topic in a vaping format that's irrelevant and not even vape related ...that said, I hear this forum came in dead last in a poll, and I can see why...I know VUF is booming but there is CVF, Vape Faction, etc
among others that are also a very good option to consider...I'm heading that way now and I'll be sure to post my opinions about the type of people on ECF... the bottom of the heap... Lol
