Any truth to this?

Well I knew they are changing a few things in July but a complete ban seems a bit drastic. All the chatter around is talking stuff like certified child proof juice bottles and such.
According to the OMB/OIRA site, the proposed deeming is still "pending review." Not that I trust them to update it all that quickly. However, that article has a few things wrong, like the fact that the FDA did NOT "pass regulations" last year requiring retroactive PMTA's, they proposed them. So, I would question where the author is getting their information from.
Took a look at other **cough** articles that the so called journalist has posted. One was an article saying there was a curfew on motorcycle riding in 11 states. That's so blatantly false it's even ridiculous to consider as being true. The second the government even whispered something like that, AMA would have been all over it not to mention the immediate lawsuits.
I suspect this is one of those bogus news sites. As such, breaking the link in the original post.

That site is known for putting out false stories like this, quite a few have been featured on snopes. Sad thing is this story will continue to roll and they will get just want they were seeking, tons of hits on thier website
Even the "About Us" text at the bottom doesn't work.
This may very well be some fat guy with evil motives to create and stir news.

I've added that site to the filters. No sense in providing them more Google Juice to spread their false stories.
