I was wondering, if fellow reo grand owners could tell me if AW 18650 2600mah batteries are just as good as IMR 1600mah and no problems using them? Whats the main difference between black AW and red ones? What's my best choice for battery in grand? I also plan on using kick by evolv at some point with 18490.

If you use low resistance atomizers or cartos, especially those below 2.0Ω, the IMR batteries are the better choice.
If you use standard resistance atomizers or cartomizers in the 2.0 to 3.0Ω range, the AW IRC (black) will work just as well for a little longer than the IMR batteries.
The difference between the red and black AW batteries is their chemistry. The red ones, IMR, allow energy to flow more freely and are better suited for low resistance attys/cartos, which demand a lot of energy from a battery.

It will perform, but it will be under stress while doing so. The black AW batteries are good, quality, batteries, but they are lithium cobalt batteries with an on-board PCB (protective circuit board). The PCB is there to (hopefully) prevent over-charging or over-discharging, which could contribute to the battery going into thermal runaway. That's not a good thing to have happen in any device close to your face. It will vent gases, heat, and possibly flame. A 1.7Ω load on a 2600mAh AW IRC battery is asking it to work very hard.
AW IMR batteries can also fail, but usually just release heat and gases. A 1.7Ω load on this battery doesn't stress it much at all and is considered to be safer to use in the Reo Grand.

A 1.5 ohm is just barely over 1C discharge on the 2600, and that is only fresh off the charger, at 4.2V. A 1.7 always runs under 1C. Icr is good to 2C minimum continuous discharge, some are good to higher.
The real monster capacity icr protected out nowadays turn conventional wisdom on its head for single battery non-VV. For an otherwise unprotected pv the protection circuit in a large icr can be nice.
Batteries have come a long way over the past year or so.
