Batteries in, or batteries out?

When you put your mod away for a day of so, do your take the batteries out or do you leave them in? Are there any safety issues with storing your mod for a few days with the batteries in the mod?

For Example... I went on a buisness trip. My mechs despite sitting in a spot where they will not fall over or anything I still pulled the batteries just in case. My drip box 60 ( has had reports of auto fireing) no battery stays in that sucker. I like it but I do not leave it with a battery just in case.

My DNA 200s they stay with the connection as disconnection would require a soldering iron.

If leaving it powered up makes you a bit uncomfortable remove it if you can. I aint gonna give you a hard time for taking extra precautions.

Long term storage ....... batts are removed and juice is removed..... No reason to tempt the gods of leakage.

I take them out. When it's being put away it will be because it has been used, so the batteries will need charging anyway.

I take them out, charge them and put them in a proper storage case.

If the mod is being stored, then batteries out. Otherwise I switch the mod off when not in use.

Although I may have upwards of 9 mods with tanks ready to go - I may only carry 3 or 4 that day out - but all the ones with tanks have the batteries inside. I view my mods like I do my guns...I want it to do its job when I pick it up.

if the mod is actively being used... batteries in... left alone for more than a day, batteries out and in their cases.
