Does anyone know if an eGo charger can be used with a Blu 5V 500mAh wall adapter? From what I've read it should be the same as any eGo wall adapter.

Yes. You can plug the eGo usb charger into the Blu wall plug with a usb port.

The only problem you can have is when the battery doesn't match the charger. So don't use an eGo charger for a 510 battery. The specs on an eGo charger are @420mA and for a 510 batt only@150mA. The 510 batt could fry on an eGo charger.

For the wall charger even though it's 5V @500mA, the ego charger adapts to the wall charger's specs. For ecigs, there are 1 and 2 amp wall plugs that would work as well. I use them for passthroughs and for regular charging as well.

IOW, always use the charger that comes with or is made for the particular battery you have.

Thanks Kent. I thought it should work, I just wanted to make sure so I don't damage my batteries.

are the voltage requirements different between an ego type and 510 battery?
if it has the same voltage requirements an ego charger should work fine. the 480 ma is the maximum output of the charger,
not what it puts out all the time.

    from Joyetech:
USB + 510/510-T dedicated port input: DC 5V,500mA output: DC 4.2V,150mA
USB + eGo/eGo-T dedicated port input: DC 5V,500mA output: DC 4.2V,420mA

It's the amps that kill the 510's not the volts. And there are a few instances of that reported here. Almost every vendor will have a blurb on it - don't charge a 510 on an eGo rapid charger.
