I see little droplets literally from under the metal cap where it meets the top of the bottle. It doesn't appear to be at the top of the cap where it meets the tube. Is this normal? Will a new tube fix that?

I get that as well on the one ive been using for like a week now. Prob not getting a 100% seal on the cap threads.

No big deal to me though atm. Not like it's spewing out or any puddle under the bottle.

Mine was leaking on top of the metal cap.

Mine does have a puddle under the bottle. And somehow the back of the door is wet.

I have yet to really have any leaking in the thread area of the connection, but the tube going into the top of the cap I have had some seepage on 2 of the 4 I have going. I also had a problem with the tubing at the nipple as well. Seems from bending the cap and tube out to thread the bottle, (I have large fingers), the tubing on 2 of them broke at the nipple from what I would guess was stress on the tube from bending. I have some replacement tubing and it seems to work ok, but its not as pliable as the original tubing and a little harder to get onto the nipple.

I've had a few of the 10 I have leak problematic at the cap and tube. New tubing as suggested should clear that up.
On two others I had some leaking at the cap and bottle. Emptying the bottle and going back over the "seating" procedure in the video had those two sorted out with no more issues.

I used to get leaking with the original bottles if the o ring didn't seat just right, so its just a matter of figuring the new ins and outs to get them sorted.

I can't go back to the older style now. I love the softer touch so much. I've been using and refilling old style bottles for about 3.5 years, so I'm not dissuaded from a little adaptation in the past few weeks. Seems reasonable :)
I love these new bottles!
I have a VV woodvil that I wouldn't dare get liquid in and that one has been more leak free than the OG bottle it replaced.
These have breathed new life in my VV, been using it every evening... I love this mod!

Can anyone post a link to videos of the new bottle seating procedure, I haven't seen any yet

Also, the ebay tubing link just given - the tubing size we need (4mmODx2mmID) is the only size that is not available, sold out. And it ships from China (no fun for me)

That is the OD and ID (diameter), they sell it by the Meter...Quanity 1=1 Meter
thanks hun. derrrrr I saw the add a higher number for another meter, but just got confuse and thought it started with 4 meters. hehehe

same here. I was thinking perhaps I need to do like element says in the quote below and redo the "seating" procedure, but have been busy and lazy and haven't done it. The old bottle was leaking some on 2 mods before I got these, the mini with old bottle was leaking a LOT, puddle under the mod, not just the bottle. Still haven't dealt with that one. lol

I normally can't stand leaks, but am just so thrilled that these are so much easier on my hands to squonk, that I haven't cared (at least not enough to deal with it yet).

I say too busy and lazy, it's actually that my son hasn't been here, and I don't know where he moved his screwdriver set to and that's the one I need to take the delrin cover off, and when I do all the other stuff, I want to do that also make sure there is no just under there, and give it a good bath. And I keep forgetting to ask him when I talk to him.

Jup think I need to do this

I had better luck filling my bottles with hot water before doing the squeeze to seat the cap. You can see when it stops dribbling. Took me a few squeezes to get it to stop leaking.
Good info, thanks.

Just did it and used hot water from the faucet over and over and boy did it take awhile before I think it sealed as there was water oozing out from under the lid ever time I'd squeeze.

Seemed to take a few mins before it would eventually seal.

I'll check it threw out the day and see if it holds up.

Leaking, puddling original bottles? Hmmm. Have never seen that, no leaks of any kind from the original 3ml or 6ml bottles/caps themselves. And I squonk them nearly dry. Maybe a squonk style issue? I don't fill the bottles to the top, leave liquid displacement room for the feed tube and a small air space. And just snug the cap, a learned touchy-feely thing so it's tight enough to seal against the o-ring without compressing it much. Then I use a long, controlled squonk in, same out to compensate for the differences between each atty's ability to take and drain liquid. I don't feel the need to force the squonk, and it doesn't tighten up as the bottle empties unless I snugged the cap a little too tight. I use 2.5/3.0mm form coils mostly now with pulled/rolled cotton wicking that holds a lot more liquid so I squonk less often.

Occasional leaks at the feed tube to older 510 nipples yes, when a feed tube had been off and on enough times to loosen up some (I didn't glue them). But I also didn't take the feed tubes off very often. Leaks at the new 510 nipple to 510 tube yes. Strange maybe, but all of them have leaked from the start or eventually in the new small Reos where they never have in the Grands. An easy fix though with TFE Paste and making sure the nipples are just snug enough that the positive contact will not move. They are a huge improvement that Rob came up with, but a little finesse messing with them always goes a long ways.

The original bottles are working just fine for me, and I have a huge stockpile of them because they are not needing replacement very often. The extra capacity would be nice, but where I want it the most is in the 3ml bottle Reos. I didn't say "need" because my 30ml needle tip/dropper refill bottles are always close at hand. But I drain the smaller bottles pretty fast with my LDLH's, and just one shy of half of my Reos use the 3ml bottles. Sometimes the need to refill them comes at a less than favorable time.

When I place an order for something else I'll still add some of the Italia 8.5ml bottles to it to try out though. And I'll keep watching for larger capacity bottles for the smaller Reos that would work hassle free. The 24 square 6ml soy sauce bottles I bought very early on in my Reo experience didn't live up to that, so they are not used.

All just details. When all you vape is Reo gear your vaping life is supreme, as easy as it gets.

I didn't order any of the new bottles either, and I'm sort of glad I haven't. I may get a couple on my next order, to try, I dunno. I have a box full of the original 6ml bottles, because when I first started DIYing juice, I used to get the 6ml size of various flavors, just to try, before getting larger bottles. I've had zero problems with the 6ml bottles, other than the occasional o ring change in the cap. Plus, I like to fill and change batteries at the same time, and with the HG2 batteries I use, filling the original bottles, leaving a bit of space at the top, works out just about right, with my .4 to .45 builds.

In case you didn't notice - we checked, and they aren't really 8.5 mls. You won't find a substantial capacity difference. The reason they're popular is the super-soft squonk. With a nice, gentle press, you fully saturate your wicks - it really is a nice difference.

I get some leaking out the threads - just enough to spot a little wet at the edge of the cap.
I will probably try re-seating under pressure to see if it improves - but it seems to me that if you can "mold" the threads to the cap that way, that it won't LAST...

As mentioned - there's plenty of vertical room in most of our squonkers for this bottle to be taller. I'd LOVE to see a V2 that's got perhaps another ml, and that's got another row or two of thread - that'd probably be all that's needed to solve it...

Train... I didn't see a post about the capacity being less than the advertised 8.5ml, but realized that working capacity would be less, same as it is with the OG bottles. I could care less about the soft squonk, I have no problem at all with squonking the OG bottles.

Since I was having some leakage between the cap and bottle, I scooped these up today at Home Depot. They seem just about perfect and so far, no leaks.
