Now I understand steeping and everything but here is where it gets weird. My 60ml/3mg nic bottle was basically CLEAR in color, yet my new 120ml/3nic bottles are bright yellow, almost a dark yellow, similar to my heaviest dessert juices in 6mg/nic.

Aside from cost, this is one of the reason most of us switched to DIY juice. When you make your own you can tweak it to your own tastes. That, and you can mix a 50ml bottle for a small fraction of what retail juice costs once you have the scales, a few bottles, some PG and VG, some flavors you like, and a few syringes and pipettes. Nicotine base is probably the most expensive item, but a liter will last you several years, with the time depending on the strength you mix.
