Can I set my HDD to go to sleep while folding?

I'm trying to optimize my power settings to make a power scheme for folding overnight and I'm wondering if I need to leave my HDD on or can I have it turn off after an hour or so? Some of the stuff I've read says that it just needs it very shortly at the start and end of a project. Most of my projects are over 10 hours yet so I wouldn't have to worry about any of them finishing before the morning. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

Whatever power savings you may achieve by letting your drive sleep will be incredibly miniscule. I never let my drives sleep whether folding or not. I'm of the school of thought that the constant power cycling will shorten the life of the drive. I get very good life from my drives.

I suspect that folding causes almost constant drive access anyway, so I really don't think it would go to sleep.
