yep, another mint question. sorry.

you see, right after i ordered Capella's peppermint, which has a pic of round, striped peppermint hard candies, i noticed that the pic for their "cool mint" was of a candy cane...that seems a bit confusing...yet, i realize vendor's pics don't always accurately describe a flavoring...so, now i'm wondering which one would be better for making a candy cane juice?

if you've tried both, your thoughts, please?

I use them both in a peppermint ice cream recipe. I agree the cool mint is a bit stronger, but it still doesn't taste like a candy cane to me.

Just FYI, my favorite these days is Loranns naturals peppermint oil. 2% plus 6%EM for sweetness equals a strong sweet peppermint, more like an Altoid than a candy cane.

Peppermint Ice Cream

I Can't take credit for this one. Found a recipe here in the DIY thread and tweaked it a bit to my liking. I think the creator's name is Bishy, should be easy to find if you do a search in the DIY thread.

Also, here's what I'm doing the peppermint oil. I quoted 6%EM earlier but it looks like I'm using 8% in the recipe.
Peppermint Oil 4

This last one is so simple with just two ingredients, I'm sure it could be tweaked either way up or down to suit anyone's tastes.
