I've been contemplating jumping on the Goon bandwagon but seeing the LP video, I have to ask: Does the original have the same internally placed o-ring for the drip tip? Seems a little tedious if it needs to be replaced or for removal to clean. For me, internally placed o-rings seem to get cut easier when you remove them.
At first I thought the o-ring was on the drip tip but yes it is inside. Shows u how well I pay attention Yes I bet it is a pain to replace but I've used mine quite a bit but it still looks good with no tearing.

A dental pick works well to get internal o-rings out. Shoot, I use it on external o-rings too.

Blunt, rounded point so it doesn't cut, but the shape is easy to get behind the o-ring to lift out of the groove.

Just a heads up on the Cam-m retrofits:

I just ordered peek replacement screws for the plate hold downs. All of the mods I have currently will come with new peek screws installed where the nylon ones used to be. This fixes the other weak spot on the cam-m. $$$$$. $1.50 per screw and I still have to machine the heads.

Tom, I'm on the list for a Goon LP. It looks like the BF pin that is supplied is a slotted pin. I would prefer the allen key pin, if you can. Just let me know the cost, thanks.
I noticed that also... unfortunately I'm no longer doing allen heads, I have switched to torx heads. The problem with allens on the Goon is I have to grind them down so far there is almost no allen left. With the torx I can leave them full depth. I spent days hunting hardware that would make the Goon better and ordered these from a company in the U.K. The torx heads will funnel the juice into the squonk hole just like the allens.

Not a problem Tom, torx heads are good, probably better.

Thanks for the offer, but Tom has already hooked me up. That's what I love about this community, everyone looking out for each other!

Received the Matt gold GOON LP a short while ago. Installed 528's squonk pin.

Coiled 6-wrap, 3 mm, dual Kanthal, 3.7 Ω, coz I was planning to put in on my 26650 (pic below, last) but the 510 on that is misbehaving...

So, I put it on my Walnut unregulated.

Not as satisfying as I'd hoped. Put it on one of my LV Halcyons set to 48 watts. Good squonk, better flavor than my (precious) Stumpy's.

Decided the unreg battery was down a bit (was 4.01 V). Changed to a fresh 4.2 which (magically) delivers 47.67 Watts, same as the DNA.

Short-term feeling: I like it, think it's a keeper. Waiting 'til Tom gets stock. I wanted the Black but it was out of stock.

Happy Holidays Jazz! The Goon likes the heat. I think you'll find that satisfaction with a bit lower resistance coils. Nice loooking build. Tighten those clamps down evenly as to make better contact and put less stress on the clamps. ;)

Yep, that was a first build. Not a fan of the tiny screws but did insure they were tight. Nearly lost one out of the gate. (My place is luxuriously quiet so I heard that tiny thing hit the floor.) [emoji41]

And yes, again...I did not want to go too low on the first build but will when I rebuild.

I have three (3) Goons so have a pretty goon-sense of performance. [emoji12] Nevertheless, I needed to raise the coils HIGHER than on the standard (HP?) Goon, a significant difference.

More experiments to follow...

Hi Tom I'm new to this thread and am looking into your work.

Looking for an RDA dual coil top airflow..no slotted Squonk pin I would prefer the torx? Authentic not a clone. I build around .4 I like flavor and decent clouds.. I have a bf vector clone on my LP Reo grand ATM. Any suggestions? what do you have available?

I'm interested I'd like to mull it over for an hour or so while doing some research on reviews as I've never heard of it until about 20minutes ago. It's very similar to the vector but has some better qualities. Is the bf pin slotted or torx? Would you be able to send me a picture and let me know the price, payment method, etc? I'm totally clueless with how you do business.

The Maker all the way. Two post , reduced chamber, crazy flavor, top air, great machining, no leaks.
