Ceramic Atomizers?! ...explain!

So, I went to my favorite vapor shop this week, and they talked about a new version of atomizer. There is a ceramic heating element in one of the newer tanks. I've always used ceramic as an insulator, not a heating element, anyone know about these and if they are rebuild-able?

Pros... Cons?

Bump I want to hear more about this as well. Anybody have any experience or info on products with ceramic heating elements?

Unless it's Molybdenum Disilicide or PTC Ceramic, I don't see how that would work out... even so, I'm not sure it would be able to withstand the repeated heating and cooling. It would probably be PTC. PTC acts as its own thermostat however current only moves through it when it is cool, not when it is hot, so I'm not sure how you'd maintain constant current.

We'd need more information to go on to answer any of your questions. I have seen 510 atomizers with a ceramic heating element some time ago (might have been the AVA atomizers, I can't recall), though they didn't last long on the market as far as I know. There are also ceramic heating elements (google "vaping donuts" and you'll probably find them) for use in RDAs that have been around a while, but I'm not sure how widely used they are anymore. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a new ceramic option available now

So, I either did not understand the vapor store clerk or he told me incorrectly. It was an atomizer with a ceramic core. I'm still a bit vague on the wicking process, but it's just Kanthal wrapped ceramic core.

Unless he was talking about the wicking material for the Nautilus Mini BVC coil. It's a ceramic cloth apparently.

The Atlantis Tank has ceramic wicking material. Kind of controversial, but it works very well.
