Yep, adds up to 20 on this side of the border too. :) About 17 more than I really need. But I had to have something to put all the Nuppin'/Chalice atty's on. ;)

Yeah, it actually counts as 42.667 reos up here with the metric system (so that's 4.267 decareos or 42,667 millireos). We get used to doing the conversion in our heads.

That is a whole lotta pimp cups, tho.

cheers :toast: seems appropriate given it's moniker.

No matter who's toes you count it on, it only amounts to about 2 per month when spread over the 9+ months since the first. Kids play compared to my vaping buys before the Reos (that are now all collecting dust).

How did they get the nickname pimp cups?

Love my chalice III's. Received one in a trade and picked up another of the classies. Think this is my favorite out of the few I have tried, rm2, divo, nuppin, since i have switched to using reos and bottom feeding.

It is pretty amazing that for the size it has airflow. Right now I have kept it at wide open, but like that I can close it up if I choose to at a later time. The build is pretty easy, for both the air hole pretty much lines up dead center of the posts so no real guess work on where to place the coil.

I like both the divo and rm2, think I just need to open up the air flow on the rm2 some. I also have a hornet, but the sqonk hole is kinda high so it won't drain, haven't even built to try using it yet.

Hey guys, I just got my first Bf mod and chalice lll. Just wondering if its possible to get into the inside of the 510 body under both post's for cleaning. I'm not trying to and I'm not going to, just curious to know if its fixed or not.
Seems like it from this on their web site:

- removeble feeding bar plated with silver ( if some how the juice floods the interior of the base a 2mm hex key can be used to remove the feeding pipe and allow the base to be washed an cleaned

You can remove the pin and the insulators around it. That's as far as I can see you can go. The top insulator is easy to pop out and that's the only one I removed along with the pin. Suggested to do this during your new atty clean before you use it. A normal soak job should clean everything. I use Denture Cleaner which does a dandy job and then a "blow dry" /lol with that air in a can thing.

Any other USA buy site for Chalice 3 post screws? VapinArt is a site that sells them, but they have been showing as out of stock for a long time. Just wanted to get a couple of spares.

DOH ;)

I would just message MB and ask about the post screws

I was hoping to find a USA site, not Mark Bugs in Romania, besides he seems to follow his own sellers thread and hopefully will respond. I don't mind paying for quality, but keeping up with spare parts needed to make the atty work is good business. These parts should not be so rare or difficult to get, so far a minus in my opinion.

Since the official Chalice sponsor thread is now closed, I thought I'd post this here.

After watching one of Russ's (SuperX) now dated Chalice videos, I went from 28 to 29 gauge kanthal. A Close contact Micro Coil, 6 wrap, on 2mm CoilMaster V2, gives me approx. 1.2 ohms, on a Chalice 3, to run on my new Reo Mini 14500. KoGenDo cotton wick.

QUESTIONS for any experts, I'm new to building.

1) After the build, before heating coil, I read .6 ohms, (I test with an ohm meter, also a SmokTec build meter deck, and a few regulated mods to double check).
I thought that 0.6 was oddly LOW. Then after some slow dry burns, pulse heating the coil, the ohms came up to my target of 1.2 ohms. Is this NORMAL behavior? Do the coils read low ohms before firing the coils, then increase in ohms and normalize to the original target point?

2) My first few builds on the Chalice 3, have been rough, trying to center the coil between the posts, keeping the right distance to the edge of the atty where the single air hole is located, and then trying to get the wire around the posts as this atty has no post holes. Originally I tried to make the wire go clockwise on both posts, but this forced me to make too many bends and disturbed and spread the end coils a lot. Messy and took forever. The picture on the TOP shows an example of this post wiring, it was 7 wraps. This was the best of the three I made, not good.

The photo on the BOTTOM is something I just built, 6 wraps. Here I only had to make two bends, as I decided I could ignore the clockwise direction of the post screws, and just capture the wires on the front part of the posts, and not bother trying to actually wrap the wire around the posts. Seems tight enough for a good long lasting connection, and is neater, and was less time and easier to build. Maybe someone has some tips or coil placement photos of a Chalice 3 build? It's a great atty and perfect on the mini mod.

Any ADVISE or FEEDBACK is welcome, especially if you build on the latest Chalice 3, as the post placements are different then they were on previous versions. Thanks!
