Really depends on the reason for the flood. If you do need to change the carto and it isn't flanged you can just drop another one straight on top of it and push the old one through using the new one.

That's what I do with my syringe tanks. If the cap and bottom aren't too tight, you can just take off the drip tip, and push the old carto out with the new one. Keep a good grip on the bottom, so that you don't push it out. Oh, and do this all over a sink.

and I can do that with no leaks or spills? Guess I would have to do it quickly... I thought I had read that somewhere before so you just reaffirmed it can be done that way.
