Charging my 1100mah ego T battery

I purchased a vape pen from ebay and it didn't come with any instructions. I put the battery on the charger that came with it and plugged it into my wall adapter for my cell phone and it melted the charger. So I ordered another one. It took approx. 6 hrs to charge my battery. How do I charge it without messing the battery up. I want it to keep a charge for a while but I heard if you keep it fully charged all the time it messes the battery up. Can anyone give me instructions on when the best time is to charge my battery. Do I wait till it runs out or not?

It's important to use a high quality charging block for the USB chargers. The cheap blocks seem to get really hot and not put out enough amperage. You should be fine to charge that battery when it dies and leave it until the light on the device changes. Hope this helps!
