City of Poway considers defining vaping as smoking for purposes of their Clean Air ord. It's not clear if this would also ban outdoor vaping in parks, etc.:

This actually applies to anywhere in the Forum. Please break your links, thank you.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-forum-rules/51178-forum-rules.html

17. Linking to low-quality websites
a. No links to low-quality websites are allowed. This means sites that are banned by search engines to a greater or lesser degree; websites that are rated poorly by safe-surf organizations; and sites that we rate as being of low quality. Such sites include but are not limited to those listed in banned sig links (see below).
b. Posting live links [1] to propaganda against e-cigarettes, low-quality unresearched or slanted press articles, or materials containing deliberate attacks on e-cigarettes unsupportable by independent evidence, is not allowed. Links should be broken by placing spaces in the domain part of the URL, or any other method that prevents browsers or search engines seeing a link [2].

[2] Search engines attribute a great deal of weight to ECF materials (it is called 'TrustRank'). If we link to a webpage, it is seen as a major vote for that page, by the search engines, and it will give that page additional pagerank and credibility. We do not want to support commercial paid-for propaganda and inaccurate or agenda-based journalism.

The last thing we want IMO is to be spoken in the same breath as hookah. Not good either, as we all know the two are not even close to being similar.

They are actually VERY similar in action however, there is a huge difference as far as risk, that being the presence of whole tobacco substrate and burning coal heat source. vaping eliminates both of those.

That second link should be broken, IMO. there's nothing but lies, deceit, and abolitionist propaganda in what that guy says.

That is what you are going to get everywhere e-cig laws are proposed: big Pharma funded front groups who are pimping themselves out for cash. They make six figures peddling lies, you don't expect them to take a real job at Walmart as a cashier do you?

You can only hope that the elected public servants you are talking to are just normal people who care about their constituents. And not big Government junkies Who need future MSA tobacco settlement payments to pay for general state expenditures.

If you ever have to follow one of these special interest mouthpieces in a legislative hearing, you can always try the Vincent Laguardia Gambini defense from the movie "My Cousin Vinny". Sleep through the lies and ignore them and then say: "everything that guy just said is bull....! Thank you.":)

The ALA made a huge statement about being extremely worried about the H pens addicting the newbies, but everyone knows the H pens are mostly found in Zero Nic plus the fact that nic, when chosen, is delivered at lower levels that is hard to become addicted to. By changing their scare tactics to the real H's, the water based H's, they confuse the issue, confuse the councils. Slick.
