Coil help

I cannot seem to get my coils that I build correct. I am using 24 g kanthal with 7 wraps around a 2.5 mm bit. When I put it on my atomizer my cuboid reads it at .36 usually or 0 and says atomizer short. I cannot figure out what the problem is here. It reads premade coils just fine. Any advice?

0.36 ohms sounds about correct for dual coils, is that not what you were expecting?
'Atomizer short' means that there is an electrical short circuit somewhere. Check that your coils are trapped securely in the post holes, and that the coils are not touching any other part of the atomizer. Also make sure your atomizer is making a good connection with the 510 connector on your mod.

Oh I didn't notice that you said dual coils. Its a single coil I was expecting like .6 ohms

What atty? And cuboid is known to have issues with accuracy and 510 connection with certain attys

And you sure you are using kanthal and not something like n80 or ss?

It is a kanger sub tank mini with the rta head. I should probably just get an ohm checker.

Subtank Mini rba?
Coil lead may be extending past the positive post and contacting the side of the rba.

I did it! Parallel coil 5 wraps 28 g kanthal .53 ohm thanks for the help everyone!
