I am SO glad I found this thread!

My mother and sister died of breast ca, I read studies that seem to correlate a lack of Vit D with breast ca so I've been taking Vit D religiously and trying to get out in the sun more, not difficult when you live in Florida.

I just checked my D's and they are D2, not D3! So it's off to the store for me. If I can combine the beneficial effects for breast health with better lung function for this 40 yr pack a day former smoker that's a winner.

Wonderful, conclusive evidence in vitamin D3 and breast cancer, both for prevention and during treatment if you get breast cancer.
I am SO sorry about your mother and sister. Unfortunately, there is NO cure for grief.

A different kind of normal happens when we lose those ones we love so dearly. A hard lesson learned. I will send good thoughts your way!! Also, remember, there is NO timeline on grief.

Thank you for your good thoughts. Grief is like a heavy overcoat weighing you down. I know you never get over it, just try to get through it.

You can't get around grief, but you can get through it. At least that's what they tell me. It is easier to control the flood of feelings when I think of my mom now and I can say out loud that I lost her without crying most of the time.

She was an awesome person and a great friend and a great source of endorphins. I miss her laugh the most. She laughed with all her heart. You could hear her clear across a Walmart Supercenter and even though you might not know what was funny you just had to chuckle too. Clear to the very end she never lost her sense of humor. I can smile remembering that.

Have a good weekend everyone. I'm going to my Dad's and we are off to a casino with my brother and sister tomorrow. I may not be around a computer again until Tuesday night.

Thanks for all the input.

LOL@ imawitch - when you get that neb mod done, I want to see a video! ps - I still can't sleep on my back, but boy can I sleep :) No coughing - mmmmm lovely!

Day 17 on the PV. 9 weeks non smoking.

I think this is going to work! I can still breath, the sore throat is gone and my family accepts the PV and me as "non-smoking".

Analogs are easier and the dry mouth is a real nuisance and those are worst complaints I can come up with :)

Amazing experience so far.

You Go!!!!!!!!!!
It gets better and better....and vaping will become second nature after you develop a little routine.
So nice to hear the good stuff!!!

So far not bad and I haven’t wanted an analog once. I am ordering VG juice to see if that changes anything for me. I really need this to work. I hope other people with COPD will chime in and give me their experience and advice. :) I know you are out there . . .

LittleLuLu

My mom has been smoking as long as you and she had the same choking experience with PG liquids..I gave her some of my VG liquid and she says it went away..Hopefully VG will work for you too..

You are not the first one to report of being a long term smoker who chokes when using PG liquids.

Hi LuLu

Said i'd get back to you

well I tried all the stuff available PG Vg and all the other stuff and I still have COPD... but coping is the thing ... thats what its all about ...dealing with it and denying the cancer sticks those money grabbing SOB's have took from us and our ancestors for years in tax.... Now they want a bit of this action/....

Looks like the tRyads will be up for it ....

Well that's not suprising is it .. Whats new with you and your squeeze

Lots of love and health

I'm an asthmatic and am trying e-smoking myself. I know asthma plus thirty years of smoking makes you sound like an idiot to some people that never picked up a cigarette. I've noticed that in the first week, I already am starting to feel a little better and am not needing my rescue inhaler so much. Hopefully this will work for both of us and everyone else out there who's trying to avoid the analogs. Good luck to you.

I am asthmatic as well. Let me share my story. Since vaping I had stopped my 22 years old 15-20 sticks-a-day habit, I am 39 years old. As far as I could remember, 10 years ago, my Ventolin inhaler consumption was one per 6-months. 5 years ago, it was one per 3 months. 1 year ago just before I started to vape, it was one per 3 weeks. Since vaping till now it is roughly one per 9 months. I am amazed by this discovery. \
Any asthmatic ex-smoker to share their similar story?

GOOD for you!!!! I have seen many stories similar to yours scattered about this forum. I wish they were all in one place, so you could reference them. Asthmatics seem to be doing so much better vaping, for the most part. May you have continued good health and healing.

I was diagnosed with COPD in August, 2009. My first PV arrived in early September and I haven't had an analog since. I began feeling better immediately (although I think the inhaler played a role) and the dark, choking phlegm began to diminish. The daily morning hacking ritual stopped completely until last month when it began again (ever so slightly) with clear phlegm. I've read conflicting reports here about the significance of the clear phlegm and wonder if any of you with COPD have tried Lung Juice. Is there anyone out there who has and, if so, has it had any impact on the phlegm production? BTW, as has been stated by so many others, I really appreciate this forum and the generous contributions of it's members!
