copper contacts how do you clean them?

how do yall go about cleaning yalls copper contacts?

Lemon juice and salt mixed together. Cotton bud (tip) to apply.
Use another cotton bud with diluted dish washing liquid to clean off after the lemon juice has worked it's magic (10 seconds or so).
Dry it with a paper towel.

Damn these methods so much more enjoyable than the Brasso I've been using...it smells like my cat's litter box ahaha.

scrub it with bar keepers friend then rinse with dish soap and cold water. sometimes ill polish the contacts with blue magic. works a treat

haven't needed to clean any of mine yet;
anybody tried vinegar?
that's what I would try; works for my kettle.

Ultrasonic cleaner with a mild solution of Lemishine (citric acid cleaner) and hot water.

+2 On the pencil eraser Works like a charm. Also Cape Cod cloths if you have a solid copper mech.

I use a sunshine cloth to clean all of my copper. A few buffs and the copper looks brand new and a shiny pinkish red.

I've tried tomato ketchup for my outer bit of my copper mod it sounds funny but it works

If I want them to look all pretty then I'll use some Brasso with a microfiber cloth. But one of the tools I always keep in my vape kit is a fiberglass pen. You can pick one up from RadioShack or any store that sells electrical equipment. They're about $6 and come in really handy for clean small bits of metal, especially contacts.

Guys, I'm also having trouble with the copper on my pass-thru for my ProVari. The citric acid and/or eraser sounds good.

BUT, my pass-thru is only a few months old and it's already showing signs of brown stain which is not allowing it to make good solid contacts. So, is there anything that I can use to keep the stain away after I clean it? To protect it so that it's not likely to stain so quickly?
