Travel and Vaping Cruise ship passengers & ecigs!

In the "old" days smoking was allowed all over a cruise ship; in your cabin, in the theatre, even in the dining room. Those days ended long ago and now there are some cruise ships that dont allow smoking at all. Some other cruise lines allow smoking in a few outside areas or on your own balcony. Use to be you could smoke in the casino, now there are select nights when the casino is non-smoking and on some ships not allowed at all.

A lot of "cruisers" are switching over to the e-cig, I am one of them. I made the switch and after 40 years of smoking it was the best thing I have done in a long time! For me the change happened instantly, as soon as I took my first drag of my e-cig. I never intended it to happen, in fact figured I would hate the e-cig .. but dang it, what a surprise that it was GREAT. From that moment on I have been ihaving an affair .. with my e-cig, .. love it.

There are lots of cruise ship passengers who are smokers and so many of them would love to learn about the e-cig, not only will it improve their health but it will also make their cruise travels so much more enjoyable.

I hope other "cruisers" find this thread and make the switch I made.

You could always help them find their way. If you are a member of a forum for cruisers, then when you post something here or find something here related/useful to cruisers make a post (in the appropriate place) on that forum and give a link to the post here you found helpful.

Of course if they decide to elect you their forum's ecig guru then you may end up with carpal tunnel.

Having seen all the great photos of FOOD that you posted on the cruise forum it will be just as great to see a photo of you vaping .. as an ex-smoker!!! Cant wait!

BTW, vaporsetc is about 2000 miles from me and I always get his packages in 2 days!

Did a search on "electronic cigarettes" on the main CC page, and linked the RCI thread to as many other threads as I could find on e-cigs. Hopefully the word will spread. Thanks to stashbldr, the RCI thread now points people over here as well.

I received my email from vapors etc yesterday too. I was hoping it would be here today, no such luck, it should be here tomorrow. Looks like we may both have the same quit date. What flavors did you order? I think if I can find one that I like, it will actually work.

Hi Gail, which kit did you order? I buy from several different suppliers but Ross, who owns vaporsetc is one of the best there is!!! In the beginning I only bought "hardware" from him, but more recently I started trying some of his liquids because I kept ordering from many different suppliers and just couldnt find any juices that I loved! The first of the liquids I ordered from Ross just arrived this week and I must say I am soooooo happy!

I had only used 36mg until this week, but since Ross doesnt have 36mg I had to order 24mg from him. I have been wanting to move down to 24mg anyway, but was nervous I wouldnt get enough throat hit (TH) and flavor. So I made sure to order with mostly PG in the liquids, which I figured would give me enough TH .. and then I ordered the flavor boosters.

When I tried them I was thrilled ... excellent. They did everything I had been looking for, and at 24mg instead of 36mg .. hooray! I love his hazelnut mocha, pina colada, peppermint and coconut. I had previously gotten those same type of flavors from a few other suppliers but they werent anywhere near as good as vaporsetc.

Which ones did you order?

I dunno anything about how you do that .. didnt know you could link threads to other threads. I've been a member at CC since 2005, read it everyday, but I've rarely posted there, cuz "some" people there are downright mean, nasty and scary .. so I never learned how to do much there, other than read and "subscribe" to threads.
