Yeah, no point in talking about freedom in any of this. We gave that up years ago when they lulled us into apathy over politics. We dont elect real everyday americans with ethics and principles. Our politicans are chosen by govt elites for us to rarely cast a vote on.

As long as you are willing to accept a big fat check from your corporate masters and a super pac, you can be a politician. Trump, Clinton, are all the same. Clinton is a criminal, and Trump is a bankruptcy specialist. The Clintons are friends with Trump in day to day elite circles. Hell, Bill and Hill were at his wedding.

We have a two party system controlled by one entity, corporations. There is no two parties, there is one. Apathy is what has cost us freedom. Hence nanny state and goons like the FDA to do the bidding.

We need to occupy Washington. Organize groups to take the white house tours and stage vape sit ins inside the white house. That will make them cringe and think twice.

Start voting for real people who do not take money from lobbyists or super pacs. Stop letting your local, state, and federal election commissions hand pick their preferred candidate(s).

Im beginning to think democratic socialists (aka not nearly communism in any form) are correct about government.
I'm sick any tired of the government trying to tell me what I can and can not put into my body. I am a consenting adult, I should have body autonomy, whether I want to put substances in my body, have an abortion, or end my life with dignity if I had a terminal illness. These are choices about MY body and the government shouldn't be able to dictate what I can and can not do. Period.

I'm a Bernie supporter, he seems the only candidate that actually CARES about the people rather than special interests.

Right now I am having difficulty digesting the scope of all this...all the vapers I know not on any forums, all the shops in my small area alone...one of my coworkers just started vaping of all days yesterday...all this just turns my stomach in knots, just cause I got myself and my mother covered for some time doesn't remove the sting either...slamming the door in a way out for so many from the bondage of cigarettes, these aren't ripples in a small pond being set in motion either. This is so very very upsetting, and worth fighting for...I will continue to read here and educate/inform my friends who aren't on any forums, take action about this "stuff", continue to do my part...just reeling due to how much is affected

He just wants to tax everyone and everything out of existence. Other than that he's fine. :)

The interesting thing is the final police report stated that in fact no cap was ever recovered. As the office of coroner is an elected position in out state New York. Most if not all are not Doctors. In fact most if not all of them are in the funeral business. None have the authority to order any kind of post mortem testing with out clear evidence the death was caused by anything other than what the preliminary evidence suggests. Open bottle of nic base next to the child. Case closed.
The kid choked to death on the cap?

Imagine you the fight you have, we here in Brazil have worse things are banned since 2009 because of health considerations. We maybe have it easier because here law is very lazy and contraband is plenty. The bad about us is how important the market is for the world as a whole and the technical lead we may loss.

These Chode, Twot, Numpty, Spanner, Muppet, mothers at the FDA will not stop us.

As a great man once said "When the government acts against the common good of the people then the only recourse of the people is civil disobedience." We will vape on. It will be hard but we will vape on!

OH! And also, be careful pulling cheaper amber glass bottles out of the freezer to use later. They can crack because they warm faster than the base does. I'd transfer to a different non-glass container and let both warm to room temp then transfer back, if you so desire. *your results may vary.

Here's a Tip.

Don't thaw your e-Liquids at Room Temperature. Thaw it in the Refrigerator.

Chemist checking in with some advice for DIY'ers. I DIY my own ADV and have for years now. By applying due diligence with regard to the chemical properties of nicotine, we can ensure two years of shelf life. Possibly more, though how long is a throw of the dice dependent on factors we have no control over (purity of the original compound, adjuncts, contaminants, etc.).

The KEY FACTORS in getting the longest legs out of your hoarded nicotine solutions is:
-Keep it COOL.
-Keep it DARK.

The refrigerator is the ideal storage solution for our nicotine. I don't believe the freezer affords any more protection than does refrigeration temps.

Inert gasses such as argon or nitrogen are frequently used to blanket bottled compounds which are prone to oxidation. This is a good old, tried and true method. Another is to simply reduce the head space in your decanted container.

Brown glass makes the best storage container. Too many plastics are reactive, glass not hardly at all (only with a few acids mostly). Brown is the best color as it filters out the spectra of ultraviolet light that initiate photo activity in most oxidizable compounds (always store your beer in brown bottles :thumb:).

Your nicotine may well last four years under optimum conditions. Don't count on it however. Nicotine is no longer considered "reagent grade" after two years, and is discarded in the lab after this time. If it were me (and it is :D), stock up on a four year supply of nicotine, and plan on extracting your own or titrating down to zero after that.

Oh, f()@% the government!:rickroll:

I read the entire deeming last night and was truely ....... After a bit of space I still am but I will echo everyone who has stated not to panic yet. This is really the first chance we really have to fight. Before it was all speculation and you can't fight a demon you don't know. Now we know, now law suits can begin, now we can really fight. I've signed all the potions and emailed all the representatives I can.

I still know many people who smoke hooka, cigars, and pipes and all I've spoke to are just as angry as we are. We all need to join forces to press Congress to change the grandfather date it is our best immediate option IMO.

I'll be buying some extra mods and rbas in the comming months. Also flavors, VG, and PG. I unfortunately don't have access to a freezer to store nic. I'm hoping I'll be able to get myself off the rest of the nic (I use 0mg 75% of the time), or that at least an unflavored juice will be available. I'll also be testing vaping allong with nic gum for those stress points.

So have a plan, but don't give up or panic yet!

CASAA says this petition is not going to do anything. Please write to your attorney general and state representative

Absolutely do both. In the end a petition still established numbers. In regards to CASAA, I'll keep my opinion to myself, but let's just say I wasn't really impressed at the fact that it took them 5 hours to put out some kind of statement to its members. This in contrast to SFATA, which had the ball rolling before the announcement even started. 5 hours may not seem like much, but that was 5 hours that could have been used to start informing people.

In regards to the petition. Yes fill it out. Will it be the thing that turns this, nope. But it will establish numbers. It will show presence. It's something people can grab on to and say look, X number of people are in support of this. We're trying to change perception. Showing people how many of this can help show it needs to be reevaluated.

I'm glad you posted the link! I learned all my nic storage stuff from Kurt and Dannyv45's blogs made my transition to DIY simple.

I can't find the post but I think Kurt has nic that is 6+ years old now and he said it barely oxidized or lost strength. Someone correctly me if I'm wrong but that's what I remember. My nearly 3 year old nic is perfect. 10 years in the deep freeze seems quite possible.

From a political standpoint, I was wondering which party I need to be behind in order to help the e-cig cause. Standard google search found this article:

Republicans Are Trying to Sneak an E-Cigarette Exemption Past the FDA

I was already leaning republican anyways, so this will make it easier. Makes sense because republicans want less government regulation, while democrats want more big government.

But in the mean time, I'll sign any petition I need to in order to get the word out. Not sure if there's much else I can do. I already signed one of those petitions to my congressman but that didn't help much.

Unfortunately, I'm embarassed to admit I live in Virginia where Governor Terry Mcauliffe signed legislation to allow felons to vote. That's almost 200k democrats to the charge.

Edit: Oh it's all over. Lots of articles showing republicans trying to block e-cig regulation. There's even a recent one showing the House trying to curb the new regulations.

Where I'm still murky is the legislative process. I know that Congress has given the FDA the authority. So they came up with the deeming regs. The regs were sent to the OMB/OIRA and then back to the FDA. Now what? Does Congress need to approve the final version one more time? Or the deeming regs become law automatically--unless Congress, POTUS, or the courts oppose them?

As I understand it, the FDA has to submit this "Deeming" to Both Houses of Congress and then they Review it under the Congressional Review Act (5 U.S.C. 801-808).

It would be Nice to have someone Clarify this.

Also, by Vapemaggedon I plan on buying 2-3 years worth of liquid to get me by. If there aren't any loopholes by the time I run out (such as China), I'll just be forced to try and quit.

If I'm a 3 cigarette a day smoker in 4-5 years then that's the Government and big tobacco accomplished their goal.

The good news is that vape prices haven't gone up overnight yet. So I at least have time to buy a few odds and ends. Another replaceable battery mod, a few tanks, etc. Maybe I'll buy twice the usual quantity of liquid the next time.

I've been rebuilding for a long time now, but it would probably be a good time for people to learn if you haven't already.
