Did you have your Pet Microchipped and..

Did you have your pet Micro-chipped and if so did you put the microchip tag on their collar saying that they were or did you leave it off so if someone did keep your pet they might at least take it to a vet at some point and it would get scanned.

I got my min pin from an animal rescue and she came chipped. Her tag is on her collar but she's chewed it up to the point it's illegible.

I got mine done but I left off the tag I always figured if someone was to get a hold of him and see he was chipped and wanted to keep him they might not ever take him to the vet

Mine both came chipped from a shelter. I've never heard of a tag, tough. Microchipping is so common around here that all the cities, vets and shelters scan........maybe that's why there's no tag....?

Mine are chipped...they wear the tags, along with tags with our cell numbers. They've been to a few vets, and they've never scanned them- they just take my word for it that I own the dogs.

I got Buddie chipped a few years ago. She was loose once and it scared the crap out of me!

I am a breeder. I show and train. My dogs are all microchipped. If your dog is ever lost, very few places will ever scan for a chip. Dont take my word for it, go call your rescues and ask. SOMETIMES if a vet has to x-ray a pet and see's a chip, they will scan it. Then they do the footwork. Those are usually the success stories you hear.
