Different flavors between 808D-1 vs 510?

I'm pretty sure this isn't my imagination. Been using a Tornado and ordered up some Johnson's Creek flavors to try them out. Used them in the Tornado and the flavors were weak (got the Chocolate Truffle and the Red Oak TC.)
I could taste something but, meh.

Then I got some of VaporNine's excellent Turbocarts and I decided to re-try the JC flavors. The difference was amazing. The flavors came alive and both were really, really great. Retried them in the Tornado thinking maybe they needed to sit for a bit, but still got little flavor.

But then I tried DV's Absinthe flavor in the Turbo carts, which on the Tornado is one of my favs, and it was gross. Just way off.

Anyone else come across this? Am I just going crazy8-o?

after buying a 808 kit, everything tastes better. my TW 510 kit is useless to me now, i dont understand how people can use 510's, carts have far more flavor. i tried some halo freedom juice in my 510 the other day and it tastes completely different, no sweet vanilla taste at all, but great on my premium v4l carts, still testing the vapornines
