Would it be possible to retap the screw hole on the hub to an easier to find screw size?
Never tried, though if you have taps it should, as the hub is aluminum, should work fairly easily. I ended up just picking up a bunch of the right screws when I was coming up with it.
I think Mark and possibly many others searched far and wide to find those screws, or better, more available ones. I think some can be found at hardware, or Automotive stores.
If you don't have a tap, take it to a local machine shop...or Voc Tech school. They should be able to do it for you cheap.
Or ask the vendor to sell you some of the screws

I ran across this shaft collar for $3.58 for 3 (free shipping).
It looks to be a bit more pocket friendly while still using the same screw set.

It looks a bit narrower in the body (covers slightly less of the length of the carto), more like the COV one, though hard to be sure. I like the Lovejoy because I use fusion cartos and a notcigs M1A1 tank -- turns out that if the carto flange is run right to the hub base, I get holes at the height I need (dumb luck )

I looked at the width of it and thought, why not just glue a couple together or even all three since they're not too pricey. Then you'd be able to use the set screws on two of them to hold the cart in place and use the third for punching.
The outer diameter is a bit too shallow for the screw to be able to thread into this one for punching.
Oh, well, was worth a try -- sounds like sticking with the Lovejoy AL050, whether bought from drillspot or the full setup from the one vendor, is the way to go. I still use mine all the time
Yeah I had hope for them. Ordered 3 of them to try and used the screws that I use with the lovejoy (great find btw!) to give to some of the guys here locally as the saddle valves they have been using are bending The lovejoy is awesome though
If the outer diameter was slightly bigger it would work. I guess I could always jbweld a nut outside of it so it would have a place to thread though! Might give that a shot!

I was wondering if the saddle valves were big enough for the shaft collars to fit into. I guess the saddle valve screw would have to be the same or smaller than the one in the shaft collar but it might work....
