when I purchase a quantity of unflavored NIC, I (wearing gloves, on a tray, in well ventilated area) separate it into smaller amber glass bottles and store in a well labeled brown bag in the freezer. I do not have kids to worry about, and my pets don't go into the freezer, but by putting it in smaller bottles I only expose a small amount to air at a time. The rest stays sealed and safe in my freezer. I also label each bottle with the NIC amount, pg/vg and date of purchase and date of re-bottling.

thanks for a great contest Dawn, some great recommendations here!

Just a thought for you ...

Sometimes to get "ideas" for recipes ...
I look online at "food" recipes (dessert recipes for me).
I also read what the ingredients are.

This helps to give me ideas, what I might want to mix.

This has worked for me!

Not a rule, but a consideration for a new DIY-er:

You may want to select a few recipes you want to try first, and buy THOSE flavors! Otherwise, you'll order a bunch of flavors of things that sound like you might want them - but won't have a plan to use them - and they'll SIT.
Personally, I did a little of both - I bought stuff knowing what I was going to mix, and a bought some because, well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. A couple of those bottles are still unopened.
