Dawn, Thanks for the contest. I think that a noob DIYer needs a couple of things that are the most important, take realy good accurate notes. and more importantly use good measuring equiptment. I use glass syringes that I got on ebay they do not have rubber in them that can deppres and change the numbers and they last for ever with out loosing the numbers off of them. Just boil them when completed with your work. If you want to get some do an ebay search for glass syringes like I did.

I made some 40/60 raspberry waffle last week and put in in a clearo that wasn't cleaned that had some kind of chocolate juice in it...it tastes pretty good considering I am sick with a cold. It is pretty vapable. Most of my juices are 50/50 and am having a hard time vaping those right now.

As everyone has said - a clean work area is vital. Only open one bottle at a time to minimize the possibility of a huge, expensive and dangerous mess. Label everything and keep good notes.

Here's one I haven't exactly seen yet - nothing to do? Read some more of the DIY threads. Even the ones that may not seem "right up your alley" - there's one with "master techniques," discussing unusual ingredients, one just on Turkish, etc. The point is, SOMEWHERE in the thread, someone will give you an idea that's JUST WHAT YOU NEEDED for your own next mix!

These plastic needle tip bottles are the bomb...I never did like the metal ones that have a shallow top cap but these below are mighty secure, and will make your life easier in every way, esp. when filling cartos, clearos, etc.

i mad the mistake of getting flavorings from 3 diff suppliers. each flavor mixes at widely different percentages. if i could go back, i would have ordered all of them from the same company (tfa or capella) and have more uniformity in my mixing. some exceptions would apply
