No. You will need to purchase a suitable battery separately.

Most vendors list what comes in the package if you look at the contents and if the battery is internal. As most do not come with batteries if there is some sale or special going it will list batteries as included in the price or kit.

I have never seen a removable battery come with a starter kit. I believe it is a liability, and if the mod melts the mod manufacturer can blame your battery.

Ijoy tends to offer packages with mod and batteries. Other than that it seems to be very uncommon.

When I got my daughter's boyfriend a Subox starter kit for Christmas 2 years ago, I ordered it from My Vapor Store. Once I selected the kit, they had a dropdown menu with suggested batteries, chargers, etc. I ordered everything together, and did not have to worry about whether I was getting the correct batteries for the mod, etc.
