Yes, we've been making a lot of our own blanks for a long time, but the "home brew series" blanks are made using Brian's newest technique. I love the way they look.
That they won't fit the 510? The o-rings on mine were a little small for the Billet box and I just used 1 size bigger to make them fit tighter.
Kanger's are notorious for strange sized dt's. Usually shallow and smaller openings than normal 510. It's more of a qc problem (imo) because a tip will fit in one and not another of the same style. I'm discovering that's true with subtanks too.

I just tried a wide bore and bell-shaped tip in my Subtank Mini and neither fit.
