Just a random noob question really

How often should the coils be changed in a dripbox?

With my kbox mini I've been changing the coils when it starts to taste burnt, is it the same for the dripbox? Generally around one week?

Pop the topcap off, and if the coils seem black and grungy, it's time to change the coils

I replace the coil if it had been a lot of crust stuck there. And i always rewicking everyday.

No. It's different in a dripper. Wash and dry-burn if necessary.
My magma coils are 4 months old. My Sapor coils are.... um.... more than a month.

Welcome and glad you joined.
RDA's for me-- re wick if taste starts to get less intense.
RDA coils are changed when they become brittle and break during re wicking (4 mos. or so seems about right).
