You could give it a try but you're probably better off eating the candy. It most likely would be a waste of candy and create a mess
Make sure you let us know how it goes. Likely bad but you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette.
Recently, I bought an e-liquid which I did not like (because it is excessively mentholated), that is why I thought of using it for an experiment. I'll let you know.

When I change my wick, I take a wire brush to the coil and then, burn off whatever is left on the coil.

Might be dodgy. You could pick up oil from the candy bar and vaping oil is really bad for you. There could be other bad stuff in there as well. I would give it a pass.
I'm not sure if gunk and gum up mean the same, but I heard the sweeter the e-liquid, the faster it gunks up the coil.
