I have on occasion had this issue with my Pico RDTA, the head being tightened down too much the culprit. Just wiggling it slightly usually clears it up.

When my husband was about to propose, he talked to his stepdad about it. We were living together by that point. Stepfather in law said a LOT of stuff but I think my two favorites were, "Why buy the cow if you are getting the milk for free?" Also, "You do realize the minute you turn around you are going to get a Honey-do list, right? Who wants to live like that?" 
Kinda makes me wonder why he married my MIL
he'd been married at least 4 times before...
But, this thread made me look at mod-guards and I'm going to order some.
