The Lemon grab is better(vapable)i've had nicer Lemons 'tho.
I agree with that too.
The Baykwell was totally tasteless,i've heard of people vaping straight base. And with that one you may aswell.
Yet to try the Eton mess.
It had little taste from a drop taste, Eton Mess didn't taste a lot better to be honest ...which is why I haven't got around to trying it properly

I hope they sort it for you Trish, i`d be lost these day`s without my Lappy :)
For once, something looks positive
....it arrived back there this morning, got an email to say initial examination looked like 1-4 days turnaround, and then I had two phone calls from the chap fixing it (they actually tell you who is doing it), and he's replacing the CPU Cooler and the PSU ...and after he asked what I use it for and how it's been performing, I asked if it could do with any upgrades ...he said he can replace the 120GB SSD with a 250GB, and I did wonder how hard it would be to install all my programmes and settings ...he's actually cloned it! He did it within an hour. That's the one with the OS on it plus C drive dependent programmes.
It has another two 1TB drives where my images and other programmes/documents are stored.

Last he said was he would do a stress test and leave it run overnight, and all being well, it could perhaps be on it's way back tomorrow or Friday. Hope it's tomorrow and it'll be back Saturday ....and son could hopefully plug it all back in for me Sunday! ;) (I could probably do it, but can't remember which socket takes which cable!)

With luck, it'll last me a year or two longer - will cost a relatively small amount, and that's a heap better than £1600 for a replacement.

Happy birthday Bob! And thanks to all for the kind wishes. I'm pleased to report that much beer was consumed! :)

Bob - if you are diagnosed with Type 2 and they put you on Metformin ask for the SR version - it's a lot kinder on the stomach as it is released gradually.
Thanks, been offline for a bit, mate is over from Belgium, they have already put me on the stomach churning medication 2 x 500mg and my guts are killing me :(, will have a word with Doc next time I see her about the SR version.

Dunno George, could have been a problem before it went on the plane (wrong paperwork) so got sent back to last office for problem to be sorted, but looks like it left China on 04/12
I was just thinking about Bob earlier - hope he's OK ...he wasn't very well last time we 'saw' him.
Still around, mate arrived on 01/12 from Belgium, goes back on Friday, so not had any time to get online

Got some Gaviscon Double from the chemist today to try and help, pharmacist said to speak to doctor if it doesn't clear up in a couple of weeks, seems Metformin is known problem but usually the problem dissipates after a couple of weeks, just been getting this bellyache and reflux after eating & drinking (although a mouthfull or 2 of milkshake actually helps as well)

I always think it's rotten when a drug/medicine designed to help gives you awful side effects. I had plenty of problems with the steroids I was on, and for a few months after.
I hope you get some comfort from the Gaviscon and milk shake ....let's hope the 'usually dissipates' is so in your case :)

I haven't thought a lot good of this past year ...can only hope the new one is good for us all - blank page and all that! ;)

Take care.

Two things - always take Metformin with food and be pushy when you ask your Dr for Metformin SR. They resist prescribing it as it is more expensive. Welcome back! :)

I had plenty of problems with the steroids I was on, and for a few months after.

My mother was prescribed steroids a couple of months ago.By a specialist at the local hospital.
She took them for 7 days and was going down hill, fast.
I called out the GP and they were stopped on the spot.
She said she was in more pain than childbirth. Her legs had doubled in size and her lungs were filling with liquid.
She had to double her furosemide intake and only after 3 weeks is feeling any better.

Awful reaction to them!
I had a lot of pain, bloating, headaches and other related symptoms. Took them for 9 weeks and they did get rid of the main symptoms of U Colitis, but the side effects were awful, and it took almost 3 months to get rid of them. The pain used to keep me awake. In the words of the consultant: 'Yes, they are dreadful things to take, but they work!'

Sorry they didn't work for your mother, and caused her so much discomfort! They do seem disagreeable, and for me, a last resort!

I've been on a different drug since then - just two per day, and if things start sliding back over, I increase to three, four or more. It seems to work, and touch wood ...I've only been on two for a couple of months now.

The EU again:
EU consultation on revision of Tobacco Tax
Thank god for 23rd June! :)
I was about to say that it never ceases to amaze me how dim-witted these people are - but realised that they aren't ....what's not to like about raking in more revenue via tax on anything they can apply it to!

Not to mention any underhand deals made to protect the true tobacco industry!

Hi guys, hope everyone is in good form and Bob I hope they get your meds sorted pronto, it`s no fun when the medicine makes you feel worse than the illness

I`ve just sent Fasttech a nasty ticket after the last 3 orders I`ve placed have all gone to restocking, 2 of which I was able to sub but I`m now requiring 2 x 30 watt iSticks or equivalent and I have been using FT for so long that I haven`t a clue where to look ... any ideas

The mixing by weight as opposed to volume is going great, Ive picked up a few tips and twists and more than a few good recipes, I doubt that I`ll ever have to buy a premade juice again. If anyone is considering making the switch I would thoroughly recommend it
