Trisha don't won't to be depressive but in the last 18 months.Ive been to 8 funerals. Some from heart attacks but most from the big C.Its a terrible sight I went to see my mate he was 40 led on a hospital bed, unable to breathe
Terrible
It's OK Marcus - I've seen it from both sides. I worked in a hospital on wards and in theatres, and then in 2004, we had 5 losses in 18 months: 3 close relatives and both our dogs. Began with my wonderful Dad who had a stroke as he was about visit us as usual on a Saturday - he died 9 weeks later, and it ended with our tiny brave little dog 18 months later being the 5th.
In the midst of it all, we had all manner of minor and major disasters such as things breaking, the garage roof blowing off and damaging both cars badly, my main gallery closed, and many other things.
It felt like we were on a raft with bits breaking off daily - but we came
through the other side, a bit battered, a bit fragile, but we've learned to live with the new normal.
We don't cope with problems as boldly as we did, but we get there one way or another - and we learn to appreciate even the little things that are good
Look forward to tomorrow, and I hope you enjoy your day at work
