Hey all!

Just curious about this wicking material. It is produced in France and made for the vape industry i think. There are 2 densities... Anybody using this? Any ideas, experiences? Is it something like rayon cellucotton?
Below are the details:

Produced from wood grown in Eco friendly forests in Europe. It has a low enviromental impact and meets food and health safety standards.
The super absorbent wick is 100% European produced, processed, sterilised and packaged in France in airtight resealable bags.

Fiber Freaks cellulose wick is avaiable in 2 densities:

  • Density 1 - Airy. Very similar to cotton and can be torn by hand. This density can be packed more tightly than standard cotton into your rda.
  • Density 2 - Very dense. This offers the user a new experience in rebuilding. This density will need to be cut using scissors and can also be used in genesis atomisers as well as rda's.
Approx size 130mm x 80mm and 100 - 200 pieces depending on how you use it for your wicks.

Cellulose Not Rayon. What is so hard to understand?

Cellulose is a molecule comprised of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, and is found in the cellular structure of virtually all plant matter. This organic compound, which is considered the most abundant on earth, is even excreted by some bacteria.

Cellulose provides structure and strength to the cell walls of plants and provides fiber in our diets. Although some animals, such as ruminants, can digest cellulose, humans cannot.

Rayon is Man Made.

I prefer Rayon - Animals pee on trees :lol::lol:

Rayon says on the box rayon "cellucotton". This is the same thing, maybe a slight change that nobody is going to notice... just because its made in france and a fancy bag im sure people will suck it up. I am happy with my lifetime box from sallys, i probably still have 475 ft left and i change wicks almost daily just because i can :) y'all can have your fancy francy cellulose. I'll stick with my rayon that costs probably less than a penny per wick!

My love- Kawa Reo LP w/ TRA SL door & LokiLab Odin.. Mmm Mmm

Nope.

Rayon is cellulose fiber. It is made from purified cellulose, primarily from wood pulp, which is chemically converted into a soluble compound. It is then dissolved and forced through a spinneret to produce filaments which are chemically solidified, resulting in synthetic fibers of nearly pure cellulose

That stuff is what us 'Mericans call RAYON. which IS cellulose

Cotton is also cellulose.

You guys make me laugh!!!!

Wood contains a high percentage of cellulose.

Rayon is made from wood. It is purified cellulose, re-constructed into thin cellulose fibers.

Cellulose itself can come in many different forms. It can be solid, dense chunks, loose fibers, or dust-like particles.

Cellophane is cellulose. I doubt it would make a good wicking material.

Paper is also cellulose. Some kinds of paper would probably make pretty decent wicks. Others, not so much.

Rayon is a somewhat specific fibrous version of cellulose. Specific types of rayon are great for wicks. Strips cut from leisure-suits, not so much.

Rayon is man-made from the cellulose that comes from trees.

I have a $3 lifetime supply of organic cotton balls I don't use ... I have 498 feet of Rayon I don't use ... I finally settled on 165 Japanese cotton pads for $20

I've got enough wick for the next 700 years

Edit: ... oh, and a bunch of silica that doesn't burn at all

This stuff sounds like snake oil to me.

You could repack some stuff and call it cyber cotton and make tons of money these days

Rayon is made primarily from cellulose from wood pulp isn't it?
