Flavors that don't work well with SS wicks

I'm wondering if it's just me, or possibly a poor wick/coil, but I'm wondering if there are certain flavor profiles that just don't work out with a SS wick. The first genesis style I made might have been a failed experiment, but I had this problem with my defcon as well, when filled with my DIY bavarian cream I get little to no flavor from the juice, the juice in a carto works fine. So does anyone know if something like a cream/custard based flavor just wont work out with a SS wick? Do clean fruit flavors come through well? I looked around a little, didn't see this anywhere else...

Some flavors you really need to lower the voltage to get a good flavor from them. Seems like fruits are prone to this, and I do have a fruit and bavarian creme that does the same. Try going .1 to .2 lower on those and see if that helps. If not, go lower!
