Sooo... I wonder how long it will take Adobe to update flash? They're usually mad to update at the slightest provocation!

Okay, I just followed Mike's suggestion and went to the page he mentioned. It showed that Flash was out of date and vulnerable. So I just updated Flash, rebooted Firefox, and now the message is gone. So maybe the latest version of Flash has addressed the vulnerability.

Looks like a fix was pushed today.
Hmmm. Well, I'm no longer getting the warning message, so I guess that means I have to manually disable the plugin.
Well hmm... I found an update newer than the ones that FF is blocking, but when I try to install it, it won't work, and in my Task manager, it keeps showing that process as "suspended" -- which is usually what happens if I don't disable SpywareTerminator, but I do have it disabled, so I'm not sure why the install won't work.

I wonder if Mozilla has not updated their plugin status page. I just went there again and it's showing the new Flash plugin as still vulnerable. But I'm not getting it blocked. So wish they would all get their stuff together. This is confusing. 
From what I'm reading, Mozilla has no intention of updating the browser to accept flash anytime soon. The writing is on the wall, and hopefully Flash will get buried sooner, rather than later.
It's broken and we're aware of it. We just don't know where the conflict is occurring yet. We'll get it sorted eventually.
Alternate would likely be a better word for it... HTML5 will likely take over the general video and audio stuff... I'm uncertain what will cover some of the other features since nothing is being well accepted by the industry in part to likely political issues ( ie everyone wants theirs to become the standard )
Not necessarily a "replacement", but the next iteration of how videos and things will be played on the Internet. Flash just needs to die.
The problem is that whatever does end up working as well as Flash does/has... and becomes as popular... will then be the next target that the hackers will attack. The larger the audience a software supports, makes them a bigger target or should I say, target of opportunity to be taken advantage of.
It's fixed again. We're still trying to figure out what broke it to begin with, so don't be surprised if it stops working again when we find the offending addon that caused the breakage.
Yeah, that can happen. You fix one thing and it breaks a couple others. Thanks for fixing this but now I wonder what you broke to do it.
I have just about all alerts turned off but I keep getting alerts for new posts in the classys. I need to turn this off because it is costing me a fortune
