I have been vaping in place of smoking cigarettes for 3 months now, the transition was flawless and actually quite enjoyable.

i noticed after about a month of use, the battery life decreased significantly, and as of about a week ago, my tanks began to stop firing. i was aware of the center pin issue, so the fix was simple enough. I was gentle in prying it up, but i am noticing that i need to adjust the pin more and more frequently. i now have to be extremely careful in positioning the battery to make sure a connection is made in order to charge it. is this center pin issue unique to ego batteries?

now that i have established the issue, i get to the question...

The amount of mods on the market is overwhelming. i have researched different brands, and the pros and cons of each, and i am still struggling to find a replacement. I am interested in a mod with a removable battery...i think. but mostly i'm looking for something with less hassle.

My goal is to not exchange smoking for vaping, but to be done with nicotine all together. With this in mind, i am looking to spend less than $50.

Would anyone be so kind as to suggest an affordable replacement for my ego battery?

I'm sure you'll get plenty of better suggestions than I can give you, but I wanted to dip my toe in without spending a fortune and tried a Vamo for less than $50 and I've been happy with it. Unfortunately, and this is true of all battery mods, you'll need a couple of batteries and a charger, so it's tough to reach that $50 hurdle.

Go for the better stainless steel mods when you decide. Provari 18650 mods start out around $150 and you can get the Segelei Zmax for under $75. Either will give you great vapes and long battery life. If you don't mind a larger size, the 18650 batteries are available in 1600mah, 2000mah, and 3000mah. I get all day vapes from my AW lMR 18650's that are almost two years old and have been charged daily. I rotate 4 of them and two of them will last me from morning until almost lunch the next day.

Keep reading and you will get lots of suggestions.

If happy with what you had, get a couple of eGo Spinner batteries. Try not to get the knockoff brands, find a genuine Vision brand.

If ready to move up to a mod, I'll recommend the iTaste MVP. The built-in rechargeable battery will last 2 - 3 days on a charge, can be used while it is charging (via USB charger), and you won't need to purchase separate replaceable rechargeable batteries and a special charger for them. Kit comes with an iClear clearomizer. Built-in ohm meter. Variable voltage & variable wattage.

If you are sure you're going to quit vaping too, then buy another VV battery. I would go for a Vision Spinner or another Twist.

You could get a cheap mod, but that's going to require batteries and a charger.

Maybe an MVP in this instance.

Id go with an MVP if you can get it for $50. Comes with everything to get a solid setup. No batteries to change, and longer battery life than your twist. It's VV like you're used to and also VW. The handy puff counter could potentially help you ween yourself off of it too. Plus its a box mod and doesnt resemble a cigar/cigarette nearly as much as ego batts, which could help disassociate the feeling of needing that analog in your hand. With all ecigs just remember not to overtighten and compress the center pin. Thats just my thoughts though.

I have always been careful to only tighten my tanks so that it is only tight enough to establish a connection. i have a few different tanks, and i think it's the totally wicked nova tank that did it, but i haven't used it since the issue started.

I tried to get the mvp a couple months ago from fasttech only to have the shipment cancelled due to the battery being a part of the unit. i was then hoping to get the vtr during they're boxing day sale, but the 10 available units sold out in seconds.
