It was pretty cool that the sun was low enough ( almost sunset ) so that the bottom of the clouds where highlighted in those types of colors... that and the mammatus clouds are always cool looking as well. I also had gotten some shots of the beginning of the storms that night that were just covered with the mammatus clouds... its just the colors were not as dramatic

I am always amazed by the sky......such beauty and yet can bring such devastation.
