I would actually really like to buy a non-serial tube as well. It is currently my most used battery.
Yeah, I decided to go stealthily and switched to my 500 tube for work. Now I'm stuck with this tiny little thing that doesn't fit in my hand right...
I think I would be ok with that with the thumb firing, but I have to hold this thing low so I'm not covering the air holes. Now I keep on "dry firing" it, lol. There is a reason I only use my kfl on a 650!
Totally with you on that. I find myself covering the airholes on 500 tubes all the time. I LOVE my 650 Lux tube. I've only had it since Friday and it's already a lot darker because it's in my hand all day. What I think is funny is I've been putting my thumb in more or less the same spot and there is a patina thumb mark forming rather quickly.
Yeah, mine looks like it has chocolate in the engraving. I thought about licking it to make sure...
That lux seems surprisingly durable. I'd figure using it 24/7 it'd show scratches easily, but not so. Maybe if I polished it, but that's not going to happen.

Haha, yeah I basically put my thumb on the engraving and it's getting dark on that spot. I'm pretty excited about it. It's fun watching it happen. There are ways to speed the patina up and get a solid patina in like two hours but that's no fun.
I've had the lux tube since day 1 and its starting to look nice. I like owning top of the line, looking well used. I'm not a buff'n'polish kind of guy. I also hate polished steel anything. Gotta knock that glare off. Knives, guns, mods...none of 'em reflect light
Hi guys, just wanted to get some input from GP experts. I purchased a PAPS v3 and the thing is just amazing. Now that I've become familiar with GP products, I'm tempted to also get the Paps X (even though I don't have budget for it 
). I was just wondering if someone with the PAPS v3 and X could do a little comparison. Based on the vapourart site, I understand the aesthetic differences but was hoping to get some input about everyday practical use (i.e. the switch, getting extension tubes vs. the single tubes for the PAPS, etc.) and whether I should just go for another PAPS or if the differences are big enough to go for the more expensive X. Thanks in advance.
