just a qick hi'n'bye.
hope you guys are safe wherever you are and whatever c***ppy weather you're in for.

german-american volksfest was awesome btw, had pulled pork, a phily cheese steak and some bud lite. lucky me my girl was driving :)
(and it's not a USAF base, it's a 9000 people US Army garrison for NATO training purposes with families and high-school and all - jmrc or sth like that; what a shame I didn't know that, it 's a thirty minute drive from my place)

PS: Ah, love that Longhorn Papaw. Enjoy! :)
You know more about America than most Americans. :(

Retic, glad you made it through okay. Chakris, I hate humidity. (I live in a very humid place in the summer too) Right now it is 83% humidity. It was a real feel of 95 degrees this afternoon, when I took my beloved dog out for a short walk. She still hasn't lost all of her winter coat. She suffered more than I did out there. I cheated, I was wearing shorts, and a tee shirt.
Your dog wasn't wearing anything.

True. But she has a fur coat all year 'round. Plus she is mostly dark. Since you live in NC, you know that draws in more heat. When she was a puppy, she hated the heat. I was afraid there was something wrong with her. She would go potty outside like a good dog, but then she would run full blast back to the door, to be let back in. Now her coat is more sable, and it is still changing. When her birthday rolls around the first part of August, her color should be permanent. The top of her hair is black tinged. But I guess that is better for her, than the almost full solid black back she had when she was younger. I cannot believe she will turn two before I know it.

Right now we're hitting 65% humidity, but this is our dry season. temperature is 89.96 F and it's not even noon yet.

Good Morning Army. Looks the rains have started. Glad I put off the roof and put in the garden yesterday. Rain is good for Veggie seedlings, not so good for bare plywood.
Yes Chak, we are voting for President this time around. A very r-i- ich and abrasive New Yorker Billionaire vs. a very b-i- itch and traitorous Chicago Socialist. Both have committed major Felonies for Profit, neither of them has a clue what life for the average American has become.
I Miss Reagan.
Now the thunder storms have arrived. Hope my veggie garden doesn't get washed away !

Have a Safe and Blessed Sunday :nun:

So now she says she will make him quit smoking (he sneaks a smoke here and there when she's not around) and will "make his life 100% miserable" if he even thinks about having another cigarette. As she put it, "I will not tolerate it"!

I laughed at her and told her to see what that gets her. Like anyone wants to have a spouse who makes them 100% miserable. Yeah, that's the ticket!

My neighbors were working on their fence this morning. They said they also got big debris too. A whole door came over their back fence, next to me. They said they would call and complain tomorrow too. Most people that had a fence, never repaired it after the previous flood. One neighbor also said the water was just about as high, as the previous flood too. Looks like we may get storms today, or tonight. I guess if the ants are gone off the debris pile, I will see what I can do to get it off. Yesterday I found ants all in it. I was going to try to get a hoe, and pull some of that weight off the fence. HA. Not with fire ants all over it, I'm not. Hopefully they are gone now.
