Ever since the Atlantis hit the shelves the whole industry went sports vaping. Hardly any 2015 product is catered towards MTL vapers.
This post is inspired by pbursados recent review of the Triton tank, where he raves about the 1.8Ohm coil head. I have no doubt to believe him it works well, but honestly this head looks just ridiculous. That coil would fit a housing a 1/4 of the size. The same goes for the higher Ohm Subtank heads. They even put an extra inlay in the head so the coil doesn't get totally lost. But then again the AFC on these tanks is pretty much impossible to finetune for MTL.
I don't think those tanks make sense being used as a hybrid for both DL and MTL. From the MTL standpoint those Subohm tanks are just a waste of space: A Smaller head would allow for more juice capacity. The chimney / shaft could be both narrower and longer - again more juice capacity. AFC could be made smaller - again more juice capacity.
The RTA situation is quite similar. It just doesn't work well when the coil sits on top a 4mm air hole. The air gets lost before it ever has a chance to hit the coil properly. At least put some PEEK / Teflon reducers in the box.
The new version of the Coil Master has now removed the <2mm rods. What to wrap our coils with now?
It's good to see at least Eleaf continuing development on the GS series. Also Kanger has refreshed the Protank heads, but where is the Protank V4, Nautilus V2 etc.
It'd be nice if we'll see some new MTL only devices out there. I'd start with
- 16mm/19mm Clearos / RTAs with .4mm - 2mm click-in-place AFC (on ONE side only
)
- 1-2mm diameter BVC heads (1-2 Ohm), SS housing
- itty bitty 20W TC tubes & boxes
- 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2.0 mm Coil Master MTL version
It wouldn't sell? I don't think so: Are YOU a Tootle Puffer?? | E-Cigarette Forum
