The 2015 legislative season brings a proposal to tax e-liquids at 25 cents per milliliter.

Alabama vapers are getting organized quickly and will request a call to action from CASAA. Local vendors and vapers are coming together oppose this bill, using the SFATA model which includes hiring a lobbyist and creating a clear plan of action with key talking points and information on who to contact regarding the proposed tax.

Unfortunately, that is the case seemingly everywhere ( budgets in the red ) and they see us as easy targets ... they can deem it a 'sin' tax much like they did with cigarettes which frankly, I've always thought was unjust. Can you imagine the outrage if they tried something similar with coffee?

Personally I think politicians should be taxed at a higher rate than everyone else ... maybe that would force them to think long and hard about becoming a career politician or not! :)
