Welcome back! Stats indicate that a few members have rejoined the fight. 91 active as of the moment.
**grumble** Looks like one of their servers is having issues and is not accepting completed work units. As a result, the completed work unit is loosing points because of the delay. Two completed monster WUs are now sitting, collecting dust.
I'm offline for the next week or so. Doing the whole "eat the bird" thing... Where one species stops gobbling for another to start [emoji12]
Ok, just read the first few pages, I'm in! Just downloaded and got started. Ordered a cooling pad for my laptop, pick it up tomorrow. What else do I need, or need to do? I really don't want to read all 551 pages.....
I typically set my folding to "light" so it only uses the GPUs when the pc is idle
Okay, GPU still ticking away but my gpu slots won't go beyond "ready"
Could someone please post the server addresses again ? I did yet another re-install and can't get the gpu to work still.

My computer pretty much stays up 24/7. My 6yo says it computes more than his phone thingie.
You shouldn't need to specify anything. From the looks of their server status list, they're having issues with some of the servers. I have two monster work units that have lost around 3000 points each due to the server they were received from rejecting connections to upload the results.

I thank you, Seems like my cpu is now reporting that it's "running" and no longer sitting there saying "ready" for weeks at a time.

Hee hee hee. Someone doesn't like irwink being in the lead. Someone fired up his machine, but he'll need more horsepower than what he's currently showing if he wants to reclaim the top spot. 
It's all good. He appears to be running a server rig doing big adv wu's. Unfortunately Pande group at Stanford has scheduled end of life for big adv effective January 31.

OK - this looks like a really good thing to do, and I have it running on my laptop (I know, not much power, but every little bit helps,I suppose)
Anyway, one question, can I also install the client on some other computers I have and set it up the same way (ie., same user name and same Team number)? Is that OK, or would it be somehow considered cheating?
If it's not kosher to do that, I'll just set up the others to be anonymous, as I still think contributing to his is a very good idea.

Load that puppy up on as many computers as you can. It's not considered cheating and as long as you own the computer (or have permission to do so on someone elses rig) the sky is the limit as far as the number of clients you can run.
