From what I have been given to understand reading here the days of good vs. bad mech batteries are kind of over. The original "good" chemistry -(LMO) is no longer made, and the current battery chemistries, with the exception of lipo, which you should not use, are about the same safety wise. The vtc5 is well thought of for mechs if that helps at all.

The direct answer is NO, the Samsung icr18650 30a are a 6a CDR cell, not really of any use for vaping at all.
The '30A' is part of the model number, it has nothing to do with amp rating.

What cell you need when using a mech is determined by the resistance range you intend to vape.
