Hi folks.....if you would be so kind as to take a look at these four different color schemes and just tell me which ONE you like the best....and if there is a specific reason let me know what it is . We are planning the launch of our new product line and want to have a website that appeals to people. Nothing on these pages is going to work and even the photos are just filler....it's the color scheme that you are primarily looking at for us. As a thank you for your time I will issue a 15% off anything in the store coupon to anyone that replys. You can just leave your comments right here......thank you!!!

Hiding up a tree
Thoughts on each link in order:

a) By far the best (in my opinion of course). Looks more 'classy' than the others, better contrast (not so 'in your face'). Not blinded by whiteness (like some of the others). Products still stand out but don't look as tacky as in the other schemes. Vapour stands out well in the BG image but does not impede viewing of items. The transparency of the product links/banners works well with this colour scheme, it gives a more polished feel/look.

b) Just ok, bit too plain for my liking, made me think I had some dust in places on my screen. Plus the 'vapour' in the background looks too similar to smoke from a cigarette.

c) Subtle, more interesting than the two whiter ones. Banner looks better because the colours tie in to each other well.

d) Looks very plain and boring & like the more 'budget' websites out there (the cheap cheap cheap ones that you think might be untrustworthy). Looks like a lot of affiliate marketing websites.

I have to agree with DoubleEwe, the 1st one (Dark), is the best of the 4.

I personally find darker sites much easier to look at and keep me browsing longer, the lighter, brighter colors tend to irritate my eyes after a few pages which in turn makes me close it and more often than not, never return to said site.
