FIxed... I modded it and it is perfect now..:)

Basically I chopped about the first 1/4 inch off the beige peice I removed (removing the baffled part so it is straight through) then I heated the Derlin 306 drip tip end till it was flexable and used the end of a sharpie to flange it, then pushed it over the beige piece and

Just out of curiosity since you are using a 306 tip why didn't you just remove the beige part all together? Maybe I'm missing something? Before I got a 306 tip I was forced to use a dead 901 atty I had cut down and inserted a 901/510 drip tip on and slipped that over the cut down beige part. So long as it works I guess that's all that matters.

The 306 drip tip pushed all the way down on the atty (IMO) put the hot spot to close to my lips and seemed like juice was splatering out on my lips... I just made it to where the bridge is farther from the mouth peice for less heat and splatter.. I already have another variation in the works using a dead 510 atty to convert the 306 LR atty to fit the 510 housing and use the 510 drip tip... I am a freak like that.. I tinker..lol

I just turned my own drip tip.... the twisted ones by a certain supplier are the same thing as acrylic pen blanks available at wood craft shops for people making pens...so it's relatively easy to just make a longer tip....

also you can just use a ego battery charging adapter and put the 306 on that under the cone to extend it further out...
